Typography Survey - Number 6

The typeface used in this design is "Sloop Script Three", which was invented by graphic designer Richard Lipton in 1994. Something that really stand out about this design was how the characteristics of the typeface gave the illusion of a tree. I sometimes experiment with calligraphy and i have found out that calligraphy doesn't need to be perfect to look attractive. Little mistakes only make your lettering more personal and unique. The designer only used a typeface and arranged the letters to build the three, but imagine taking this into illustrator and giving some letters longer curvy strokes ( could be used to shape up the tree more, and give it more personality). This is just idea that i had. The design is beautiful and pulls me towards nature which I consider it amazing Art made by hand of God. Using a script typeface was a perfect decision by the designer for this project, if he would of used a non-script than i think the tree would of lost its attractiveness and look dead.
